We had fun walking around downtown and the riverwalk, seeing the Alamo was a treat, and we even went swimming in a pool so frigid it numbed your body! San Antonio is situated along the San Antonio River. The city has almost a million citizens. Four missions line the river, the most famous, of course, being the Alamo. The fort/mission, where 187 defenders gave their lives, is now surrounded by corporate offices and vendors. The Institute of Texas Cultures is highly recommended by the Blondins. |
