The East Coast was a perfect place to study our country's history and political system. It was election time during our visit, and it was a contrast to listen to one of the most negative campaigns in the country taking place in New Jersey and then visit the JFK library and watch how it all began with the Nixon-Kennedy debate.

We spent our first two months on a blitz of museums, historical places and landmark cities. It was one of the most exciting periods of the trip. Traveling through New England in the fall was a treat and discovering our national heritage together as a family unforgettable.
